My Eagle Scout project focuses on enhancing organization in classrooms at Louise Luxford Elementary School by constructing custom Chromebook
storage and charging shelves.
The shelves will be built using Bamboo Mail Center - 27 Compartments (from Really Good Stuff).
Each shelf unit will include carefully drilled holes in the back to allow charging cords to pass through, ensuring that the students’ Chromebooks can be neatly stored and charged simultaneously.
Each compartment will have a cable clip to allow the charging cord to be neatly organized.
Each shelf unit will be paired with a 24 plug-in extension cord.
The primary purpose of these shelves is to provide a practical solution for organizing and storing the Chromebooks in the classrooms.
By keeping the devices securely in place, the shelves significantly reduce the risk of Chromebooks being dropped, misplaced, or damaged.
These shelves lower the chances of a Chromebook breaking and the student having to pay for another one.
The primary purpose of these shelves is to provide a practical solution for organizing and storing the Chromebooks in the classrooms at Luxford Elementary School. Currently, students in K-4 classes are not permitted to take their Chromebook home. Homeroom teachers have to keep them in the classroom and they are looking for ways to organize these Chromebooks.
My project will be helpful to my beneficiary, Luxford Elementary School, by providing the teachers a solution to organize their students' Chromebooks.
By keeping the devices securely in place, the shelves significantly reduce the risk of Chromebooks being dropped, misplaced, or damaged.
